Rock Recovery was founded on two core values: Be Real, and Live Life. In our day-to-day operations, be stand on 4 principles:

  • Work like it depends on you,  pray like it depends on God
  • Plant seeds.  Let God water them
  • Collaborate - don’t compete
  • Everyone is invaluable and irreplaceable

VALUES

Be Real

Honesty, trust, integrity, and open communication are paramount – both in connections with other organizations and in interactions with those we serve. We are forthright regarding the nature and scope of our services, we do not extend ourselves beyond our capabilities, and we strive to create an environment where others feel safe being honest with their struggles and challenges.

Live Life

True recovery occurs when individuals are able maintain recovery in all circumstances – regardless of their environment. Rock Recovery houses are specifically designed to help residents learn how to embrace or maintain recovery while living life on life’s terms.

PRINCIPLES

Work like it depends on you,  pray like it depends on God

We are Christ-centered.  All organizational and house policies and activities will be based on Christian principles. We believe that Christ alone is the source of healing, yet we are His hands and feet. Therefore we will settle for nothing less than the highest caliber of treatment modalities. We will utilize only proven, cutting edge, and research-based recovery-oriented activities and policies.

Plant seeds.  Let God water them

We will provide services to anyone with an open mind and willing to respect our Christ-centered approach. We do not seek to convert anyone.

Collaborate - don’t compete

We exist to establish Rock Recovery Houses that promote long-term recovery and seek to collaborate with organizations with complimentary, even similar, missions. We will not compete. We exist to bring hope and healing to those suffering from food addiction and eating disorders – not to make profit.

Everyone is invaluable and irreplaceable

Resident, volunteer, and employee well-being, safety, and growth are paramount. Any threats to either will not be tolerated. We will invest in and promote volunteer and employee wellness and growth.

“It is absolutely clear that God has called you to a free life…
My counsel is this:
Live freely, animated and motivated by God's Spirit.
Then you won't feed the compulsions of selfishness.
For there is a root of sinful self-interest in us that is at odds with a free spirit,
just as the free spirit is incompatible with selfishness.
These two ways of life are antithetical,so that you cannot live at times one way and at times another way according to how you feel on any given day.
Why don't you choose to be led by the Spirit and so escape the erratic compulsions of a law-dominated existence?”
-Galatians 5:13-18
